The St. Bernadette Bereavement Ministry is beginning its Fall 7-week Grief Support sessions. We will meet every Thursday in the Family Life Center, which offers a warm, caring, safe and faith-based place for all those attending.

About our Bereavement Ministry:

Provide a safe place for those who have lost a loved one to mourn emotionally, physically, and spiritually. The group endeavors to help those who are grieving realize they are not alone and to provide a faith-based environment of hope.

To offer assistance to members of our parish family who are having difficulty coping due to illness or social isolation. We offer support through our prayers which are said individually by members of the ministry, as well as collectively by the church parishioners.

To provide school supplies for students of an "adopted" school in the St. Lucie School District whose parents cannot afford to purchase them. The ministry conducts its annaul campaign during July for parishioners to purchase required supplies. These supplies are collected and delivered to the adopted school prior to the first day of class. They are distributed by teachers and staff to those students needing supplies.

To remember our parishioners on their special day. Birthdays are a time to celebrate the lives that God gave us and to thank God and our parents for giving us life. members of the ministry call fellow parishioners on their birthday and offer birthday wishes on behalf of the entire parish.

To encourage members of our St. Bernadette Parish Family to consider becoming an advocate for children through the Florida Guardian ad Litem Program. This program is a partnership of community advocates and professional staff providing a powerful voice on behalf of Florida's abused, neglected, or otherwise at-risk children.  A guardian d litem is a steward appointed by the court to protect the rights of an advocate for the best interest of a child involved in a court proceeding.
